Today, I’m delighted to share that I am launching a series of articles on homesickness. After moving to the UK in September 2022, I am happy to reveal that I can finally see the light at the end of what has been a very long and dark tunnel.
With this new series, I aim to:
- Help those who have recently moved to a new country by providing them with advice (backed by about 10 months of first-hand experience).
- Provide relief and instil a sense of hope, reassuring you that it does get better.
- Give people whose partners are struggling with homesickness tips on supporting their loved ones.
- Answer any questions you might have. (Comment below or email admin@sipofculture.com)
- Share the stories of our community members. (Join our Facebook group here.)
Stay tuned for:
- How to cope with homesickness
- How to support your partner when they are missing home
- How to turn your new house into a home
In the meantime, have a read through the piece I wrote a month after landing in the UK: Anywhere can become “home”, if you let it.
